22 year old, ex hockey goalie who now enjoys the sport of fitness.Where do you train: Crossfit Beyond Parallel
What made you start CrossFit?
I just loved the fitness aspect of the sport first. Then I found out it is a racing sport and I love racing.
What do you enjoy the most about your sport?
I love competition and meeting new people at the comps. Nothing beats new friends and memories.
Do you havea favourite WOD and why?
My favorite WOD was from the Wodapalooza qualifier and it was 7:00 of clean and jerks at 275. I love a heavy Barbell, especially for reps.
What’s your least favourite movement/what needs the most extra work?
Muscle ups are my nemesis because I am awful at ring dips.
What's your number 1 goal?
To be the fittest man on earth, but to be a repeat games athlete.
What’s your most memorable Crossfit memory/achievement?
Winning heat 3, event 4 at the 2017 Regionals and getting interviewed.
How do you prepare yourself before a competition?
I listen to my coach. He has a plan and I work my ass off to get everything out of it.
How much do you focus on your diet, and what does this consist of?
This year, diet is a huge aspect of what I do. I now have a coach who helps me with my macros.
Do you have any food weaknesses?
Ice Cream and Pizza!
What advice would you give to any newbies starting out in your sport?
Find a coach and learn everything you can. When you stop learning you stop growing. What’s something fun, or funny, about you that people don’t know? I was one of the weird guys that liked being a goalie. It’s fun to be the guy who the team relies on.
